I don't want any presents
Q I’ m over 80 this year and I know that on my birthday everyone will ply me with presents – I'm so lucky! But I'm in the business of throwing everything away, not hoarding more stuff. So how can I insist that no one give me anything? Do you think I should suggest they give money to a specified charity? It seems rather presumptuous – but do you have any other ideas?
