AGAINST anyone other than Naoya Inoue, the spirited effort of Marlon Tapales, which included no small amount of skill, would have been enough to see him last the distance, if not win the fight itself. However, as we know by now, opponents, even good ones like Tapales, need much more than just determination and talent to reach the end of a fight in the presence of Inoue. It seems, in fact, that what they need is something closer to a miracle.
