Have you ever admired the wonderful art quilts at shows and thought you could never do it? I certainly have. No one becomes an art quilter overnight, or any kind of quilter for that matter.

In recent years I have taken on simple art quilts that have been really enjoyable to make and pleasing to the eye. Will they be ribbon winners? Unlikely. Have I enjoyed the process of letting my imagination rip? Absolutely. Mostly I follow a structure but I will often just play and see what happens. After all, on small projects, there is not much to lose.
