Prolonging the process

In 1965, an American professor called Bruce Tuckman developed a theory that teams go through several stages when working together. He called these: Forming, storming, norming and performing. By 1977, he had added another stage for after the team is disbanded, ‘adjourning,’ often referred to as the mourning stage.

While this was developed to do with teams, I realise that I go through all these stages with my projects. My ‘forming’ phase involves getting to know the machine. I even park it where I can see
