AIVE launches new classic regatta series

n addition to announcing its 2024 calendar, The Associazione Italiana Vele d’Epoca (AIVE) announced two new classic regatta series at its annual meeting . Firstly, the Naples, Capri, Ischia and Gaeta yacht clubs have coordinated to organise an attractive 12-day programme: at the end of Argentario Sailing Week, on 17 June, participating boats will sail in company from Santo Stefano to Capri, arriving on 19 June for a cocktail party. As AIVE President Giancarlo Lodigiani points out: “We will be a majestic sight! Imagine the fleet of vintage and classic boats sailing south… a pleasure for the eye! We will sail, dive, eat, celebrate.” It takes 20-24 hours from Argentario to Ponza (120 miles) and another 60 miles from Ponza to Capri.
