A dream pursued… with attitude

When Nigel Preston took a job at his friend’s classic car restoration business, little did he know that, as part of his on-the-job training, he’d end up being gifted a car. That’s exactly how the story of Growler begins.

In 2008, Nigel’s friend Chris Rodgers had his own classic car restoration business and he gave Nigel a job as he was looking to get into the restoration game himself. “He had a very rough MGB GT that had been sitting around his yard for some time so he gave me the task of getting it up and running again,” said Nigel.

“Well, that was some education, I can tell you. The GT was worked on between customer jobs and, once finished, Chris told me I’d put most of the work into it myself so I might as well have it. What a fantastic surprise.”
