Patrick Wilson had no intention of returning to the Insidious horror franchise he farewelled 10 years ago with 2013’s Insidious: Chapter 2. Having since branched off into the world of The Conjuring with Insidious director James Wan, he admits he felt he’d “put Josh Lambert to bed”.
However, when the chance arose to not only revisit the story of the Lambert – a direct sequel to – but make his directorial debut in the process, he leapt at it.
