Zach Tiede, a recent Arizona State University graduate, has never been the type to sit quietly on the sidelines.
As a youth hockey player, Zach played on competitive travel teams for a dozen years while growing up in Utah. And when he started college at ASU, Zach joined the school’s American Collegiate Hockey Association division 1 hockey team. That meant going to practices three to four times a week and playing games against other colleges around the country on weekends.
