‘Western’ debut looking likely for June

No. D1015 Western Champion could be back hauling charters this June if the Class 52 passes its planned proving runs and its certification process is completed. This involves another, heavier, loaded freight, a full speed run with passenger stock, and the certification process.

The inaugural, and hugely welcome, return of the ‘Western’ is pencilled in as an East Anglian start, with Paignton as a likely destination.
