STOMACH politics, which refers to politicians caring about their own needs and which seems to override the interest of society, has led to political parties that have common objectives, either on the left or right of the political spectrum, avoiding mergers.
This was the view of political analysts who spoke to the Sunday Tribune. The number of parties registered for this year’s election has reportedly rocketed to more than 300.
