Off-Air QSOs

Your editorial last March about not all QSOs being on the air came back to my mind when participating recently at a conference hosted by Internet2 in Atlanta. Internet2 is an organisation that provides high-performance optical fibre networks connecting universities across the country. While the topics at the conference focused on hard wired fibre networks and services, one of the delegates was bemoaning challenges in deploying RF Wi-Fi and wished for greater RF spectral precision.
