Corsica, Sardinia, and Sicily are the three largest islands in the western Mediterranean and each offer their own unique qualities that make them ideal destinations for a charter holiday. The French island of Corsica and the Italian island of Sardinia are just 9nm apart, which means there’s a huge cruising area to explore.
Sicily lies approximately 260nm to the south, at the eastern tip of Italy, and is the largest island in the Mediterranean. Its off-lying group of seven islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea – off the north coast – are known as the Aeolian Islands and include the volcanic island of Stromboli.
