1982 Lincoln Varieties are Popular Collectibles

The year 1982 was an interesting one for the Lincoln cent. It was a year of great change. Change might even be considered Abraham Lincoln’s middle name.

Certainly the first year of production for the Lincoln cent would be considered by many to be one of variety. The first Lincoln appeared with the initials VDB on the reverse.
