• 20" x 28" monks cloth, linen, or burlap for rug foundation• ¼ yard red wool for the background• 10" x 15" total in shades of white and soft blue wool for stripes and stars on the hat• 8" x 15" total• 15" x 18" dark blue wool for shirt, eye detail, hat band, and border• 4" x 15" black wool for hat brim border• 8" x 15" total in shades of peach wool for face and neck with darker shade for eye, nose, and mouth detail• 8" x 15" total in shades of white and gray wool for hair and beard with darker shade for detail• Black permanent marker• Red Dot tracing paper or tulle netting• Tapestry needle and thread• 2 ½ yards binding tape• Hook• Hooking frame or hoop• Wool cutter (optional)
