West and her very new little pal have joined me on Zoom to talk about , the brilliant new comedy she stars in as Eddie, alongside Nicola Coughlan’s Maggie. “It’s centred on a female friendship, a love story between women in their 30s trying to figure out life,” says West of the show written by Camilla Whitehill. And as if that wasn’t enough already, they also have to navigate the return of Maggie’s bi-polar disorder. The six-part series has much to enjoy – properly funny lines: “No one cool does coke anymore, Michael Gove ruined it”; Maggie Actually – a -themed party (including an appearance from Joanna Page); a handsome ex to obsess over (“he still looks like a roman, then, is a big mood…
