‘Thankful for blessings’

The devastation of Covid-19 served as a stark reminder that life was too fleeting not to pursue one’s passions.

And because of that, Anjori Maharaj took a break about two years ago from being a pharmacist and started her home industry business, The Pharmchef, and later, The Hideaway Spa in Pietermaritzburg.

Maharaj said while she still did locum pharmacy work to keep up with the industry, she always loved being in the kitchen, and could cook and bake from the time she was 10 years old.
