“[Michael] Jordan was the greatest player in the game, and after he retired, he vowed ‘I’m never coming back to play wrote. After nine NBA seasons, Jordon announced his first retirement from basketball in October 1993. Less than two years later, with a two-word press release, “I’m back,” the basketball legend announced his first return to the NBA. Four years later he retired again, only to rejoin the NBA in 2001. In 2003 the iconic athlete retired for good.
