We’ve been revelling in some little-known classics this month. Songs by the visionary French composer Rita Strohl, the colourful orchestral music of Dorothy Howell and a brace of piano concertos by Norway’s Chopin student Thomas Tellefsen are among the less familiar gems that have delighted our reviewers. Of course, we’ve also plenty of more recognisable repertoire in dazzling new performances.
