Biden ‘betrays’ his Irish ancestry by backing Israel

US President Joe Biden has let down too many people since his ascension to power as the 46th president of the mighty US. Being the Commander- in-Chief of the US Army and, by definition, the most powerful man on Earth, Biden shoulders immeasurable expectations, particularly in the arena of public good that includes international peace and co-operation.

But it is also his heritage as an American of Irish descent that increases the weight of expectation for Biden to be seen as a do-gooder in the service of humanity.

However, his many shortcomings aside, President Biden’s unwavering support for Israel at a time when the majority of the international community regards what is happening in Gaza as genocide is rather baffling,
