TAKE A HIKE

Have you seen Free Solo, the film about rock climber Alex Honnold who scaled El Capitan without ropes? El Capitan is in Yosemite National Park in the US and it's one of the most daunting big walls in climbing. Every time I watch the film, my palms sweat from the stress of it all.

I admire Honnold, so when the opportunity came to climb in Oorlogskloof near Nieuwoudtville, I grabbed it with both hands. (Thankfully, with the help of a harness.)
