Block WhatsApp spam from your lock screen
WhatsApp has introduced a useful feature that lets you block spam messages from unknown senders directly from your phone’s lock screen. This saves you having to open an unsolicited message to block the spammer – which would let them know that you’d received their message and run the risk of accidentally tapping a malicious link.
When a spam message pops up on your lock screen, simply long-press the notification and select Block, then Block again (see screenshot below). You can also report the sender’s number to WhatsApp – they won’t be notified that you’ve blocked or reported them, and can no longer message or call you.
