Cambridge Imprint is very much a family enterprise. All artists by trade, sisters Jane Powell (a textile artist) and Ali Murphy (a ceramicist), and sister-in-law Claerwen James (a painter), decided to combine their creative skills in 2013. What started as a sideline has flourished into a full-time business, and their vibrant products are now sold in independent shops worldwide. Claerwen tells us more.
Where are you based?
We’ve recently moved into a light and airy studio space in an old converted mill in central Cambridge. Having spent a few years designing at our kitchen tables, it’s been so nice to work alongside one another again, trying out ideas that aren’t constrained
