t lunchtime the other day, I headed down to the kitchen, where I found an Annie Chun’s pad thai noodle bowl in the cupboard. “A fusion of Thai flavors with peanuts & vegetables,” the package promised. Stretching my culinary skills to their utmost, I added a quarter-cup of water and put the bowl in the microwave for two minutes, just like the directions said. It wasn’t half bad.
