It is not very often you come across a County 6700-Four, especially one that has been meticulously restored to the very high standard of this tractor.
When you think about County tractors, it is usually the equal-sized wheel models, such as the 1884, 1474, 1454, 1184, 1174, 1164 and 754, that are concentrated on.
The smaller, unequal-sized wheel tractors made by the company are often overshadowed by these extremely popular models and can be overlooked by enthusiasts when it comes to restoration projects.
With this said, it’s a wonderful change to see a not-so-well-known model from this famous company being fully restored. This superb example of a County 6700-Four belongs to Conor Hurley from Cross Haven, Co. Cork.
Conor is a four-wheel drive tractor enthusiast with a particular interest in County and Roadless tractors with both equal- and unequal-sized wheels. This tractor came to his attention and was purchased in 2023. It was then delivered to Stephen Lennon’s premises near Loughbrickland, Co. Down.

Stephen is well-known for the superb work he carries out in restoring not only County and Ford tractors, but also his ability to overhaul and repair the County Hara cab, along with the two variants of Ford ‘Q’ cabs.
Stephen is first and foremost a County tractor owner and enthusiast who knows exactly what it is required in this type of restoration, having been through the whole process with his own short-wheelbase 1184.
This article will look at the history and restoration of this County 6700-Four and the many people
