Tomb of Tutankhamun

AT FIRST, the story of Tutankhamun might seem unbelievable . . . (and maybe even a bit bizarre): a boy king in Ancient Egypt dies and is buried as a mummy in the Valley of the Kings. He’s then found thousands of years later, only for strange things to happen so people believe his grave might be cursed. Sounds crazy, right?

Except. . . it isn’t!

When the unpopular Pharaoh Akhenaten suddenly died, it fell to his son Tutankhamun to take over as ruler of Ancient Egypt. King Tut (as he’s also known) was only nine years old at the time.
