THE TREND: PEARL SKIN

Glass skin might’ve been all the rage in 2023 but this year, when it comes to skincare goals, pearl skin is the look you want to achieve. Unlike glass skin, which primarily focuses on a high-shine, reflective, wet-look finish, the pearl skin aesthetic uses brightening and hydrating skincare products combined with light-reflecting makeup to create a luminous, iridescent sheen without the slickness.

GET THE LOOK

The key to achieving the look is to create a super-hydrating base by applying a hydrating serum and moisturiser to cleansed skin.

Next, apply a strobe cream or an illuminating primer to brighten the complexion.

From there, you want to apply a very light layer of coverage – think a lightweight foundation or a skin tint.
