Then something happened to bring it all a lot closer to home. A Boeing 737 recently lost a wheel shortly after take-off, forcing the captain to do an emergency landing.

FlySafair Flight FA212 took off from OR Tambo in Johannesburg bound for Cape Town International Airport but returned to Joburg after ground staff noticed a problem with one of the plane’s back wheels.
