TECHNICAL HANDBRAKE MAINTENANCE

The handbrake mechanism on Jaguars such as the XK150, Mk2 and E-type, which have disc brakes all round, uses a mechanical caliper to grip and lock each rear disc, with a straightforward cable mechanism to operate them via the handbrake lever inside the vehicle.
