Adam's progress with Norwich

NATIVE/CANARIES

THE addition of the Norwich in Adam's stud coincided with the early episodes of Keith Ferry's series on Matt Eld's The Canary Room. He thought if he aimed to replicate Keith's régime, he wouldn't go far wrong. That proved much easier said than done. He paired up six pairs of Norwich, which bred a total of five youngsters during his first season. The second round proved virtually non-existent as the birds all dropped out of condition and then lacked fitness.

Thankfully, Adam had a very good return with the native birds, so he wasn't overly deflated with the Norwich. He felt that with the mistakes he made that year he could turn it around the following year. By this stage, he had joined
