Nanda Soobben honours Anshu Padayachee

WORKSHOP FOR RAPE, GBV SURVIVORS

AWARD-WINNING cartoonist and animator, Nanda Soobben, will honour a conversation he had with women’s rights activist, the late Professor Anshu Padayachee, by starting an art workshop for survivors of rape and gender-based-violence (GBV).

The initiative, which starts this Saturday, has been hailed by women artists.

“I wanted to honour Anshu, the co-founder of the Advice Desk for Abused Women. Prior to her passing last July, she saw one of the art classes I held for autistic children. She said I should host a similar class for survivors of GBV and rape.
