With the ShaperBox, Cableguys has been providing dancefloor artists and others with smart tools for spicing up static beats and monotonous bass lines for years. A tenth effect has recently been added to the ShaperBox family, the ReverbShaper, which costs around 40 Euro and can be loaded and linked modularly. What all effects have in common is that selected parameters can be animated via opulently adjustable LFO curves. As expected, the Cutoff and Resonance can be set to LFO movement in the FilterShaper effect or the degree of distortion in the DriveShaper effect. The new ReverbShaper, on the other hand, allows you to animate the send level, that is, how strongly the useful signal runs into the plug-in, as well as the reverb volume independently of the separately adjustable Dry/Wet component.
Critics will now argue whether such an effect is necessary at all, as something like this can also be realized with the on-board tools of a DAW. The Solomonic answer is yes and no. Certainly, something comparable can be achieved using mixer automation or by linking an external LFO
