If you’re the crack team behind The Newt’s garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024, it’s currently much more than merely once a day.

“We started planning in August last year,” Stephen Herrington tells me as we tour the grounds with a month to go before the big day. As Head Gardener at The Newt in Somerset, it’s his job to make sure every plant is at its best and ready to bloom at just the right moment.
