The fifth of the Mad Max movies tells the story of Imperator Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road.
Fury Road, which was shot in SA, Namibia and Australia, was a box office hit and is considered one of the greatest action films made. It received 10 Oscar nominations and won six.
In the new movie, a young Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of the Biker Horde led by Dementus (Chris Hemsworth).
Travelling through the Wasteland they come across Immortan Joe’s Citadel, and as the warlords battle, Furiosa must survive and find her way home.
