Quality youngsters are first bred and then fed

‘FROM THE BIRDROOM’

AS THE breeding season progresses, it is logical that breeders start to assess the quality of their young canaries once they have been weaned and begin to enter the show cages.

An important part of this process is to judge whether the pairings that you have made are working and whether you need to change anything going forward. It will perhaps be too late for the second round of youngsters, but if you do need to make some changes to your original pairings, then a later round could be taken or eggs could be moved to create more time for another nest.
