FAMED PILOT FOUND?

The underwater discovery of a plane close to where famous pilot Amelia Earhart vanished has renewed hope in solving the mystery.

Amelia, who made history in the 1930s after becoming the first woman to make a solo flight across the Atlantic, disappeared in 1937 during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe. The aviation expert, along with her navigator Fred Noonan, went missing over the Pacific Ocean – their bodies and aircraft were never recovered.
