Best carpet cleaners for picking up spills, dirt and pet hair

Are you one of those people who makes everyone take their shoes off before they come into your home?

We know you have your reasons. After all, it’s a big, dirty world out there, especially if you live in a city. The soles of your shoes step on a lot of stuff you don’t even want to think about, let alone track into your nest.

But here’s the thing: you’re still going to want to get your carpets cleaned. That’s because floors get spilt on, dribbled on and things get dropped, especially during hosting duties or if you have pets or children. After a while, your carpets can take on a slightly dingy appearance or start showing up paths of slightly darker trails where they’re most walked on. And then there’s the smell. It can all get a bit, well, ew.

Besides, as any Mrs Hinch fan will tell you, there are few things more satisfying than seeing how much dirt gets sucked out of fibres covering your floors when you run a carpet cleaner over them.
