Shimano 105 Di2

When Shimano released its 105 Di2 12-speed groupset last summer, the feeling was that here, at last, was electronic shifting for the masses. Historically, 105 has been Shimano’s mid-level groupset, straddling the gap between its top-tier and budget offerings, and this fully electronic version came in £700 cheaper than its big brother, Ultegra Di2. However, at a price of £1,700 it’s still by no means cheap, so has the groupset of the people gone too posh? In my opinion, absolutely not.
