Missing Liberty Head Nickel Belonged to Walton Family

In the April 30th article entitled, “Low-Mintage Gold Dollar is Within Your Reach,” the author mistakenly wrote, “The 1913 Liberty Head nickel has five known examples, yet one is missing,” which is a misnomer.

The missing coin in question, belonged to George O. Walton, a North Carolina coin dealer who was sadly killed in a freeway vehicle crash en route to a coin show in 1962 where it was going to be exhibited.
