The Appledore Shipbuilders Robert Cock and Sons specialised in building smaller vessels, up to coaster size. During a periodship. Cock’s yard was operating the ships themselves but within a few years sold them on. Orenie went on to become Rockville and traded until 1952. The yard went out of business but was taken over by P.K. Harris and Sons, until 1963, when it became Appledore Shipbuilders.
