Our intrepid trio known as Squidward 3 (comprising Daz, Caz and Luke McKell), experienced an amazing fishing odyssey in the coastal waters of South Wales. The trip marked the beginning of a four-day Easter break. Guided by the expertise of Joe Shaw, known as Catch and Cook fishing, our journey began with an early departure from Southampton, towing the Ribcraft R350 behind us (reviewed in issue 634). By 9am we had arrived at our venue in Wales, poised and ready to embark on our multi-day adventure through the rugged beauty of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
ANTICIPATION AND EXPLORATION
With eager anticipation we set out with only our trusty fishing rods, reels and some spare tackle. The weather was against us and, despite encountering challenging weather conditions, including heavy downpours amidst bright sunshine, our spirits remained undeterred. Equipped with Mustang Survival gear, including lightweight Callan jackets and trousers, we aimed to conquer the elements and stay dry throughout the expedition. The versatility and mobility provided by the Mustang Survival gear proved invaluable over the four days, especially when navigating rocky terrains for the perfect fishing spots.
