decision time

PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa took a swipe at his predecessor Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) at a rally ahead of Wednesday’s crucial elections, saying he ran away from the ANC renewal.

Election fever reached its crescendo as the country’s biggest political parties, in a last-ditch effort to drum up support, wrapped up their campaigns this weekend.

Addressing thousands of ANC supporters during its Siyanqoba Rally at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, Ramaphosa said those who could not stand the renewal of the ANC had left the governing party.
