As the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) wrapped up preparations for Wednesday’s elections, KwaZulu-Natal IEC spokesperson Thabani Ngwira gave Independent Media a step-by-step walk-through of the voting process.
Voters must take their official identity documents, which are a crucial part of confirming their identity: old green documents, smart cards or temporary IDs. Voters will not be allowed to vote if they cannot produce these.
