Compulsory registration: what the law says today

WHEN I was being taught law at Edinburgh University during the period 1975-78, it was emphasised that if you were studying statute law (that's the law passed by a parliament) the first and best thing to do was to read the Act of Parliament or the Statutory Instrument made by Parliament. I won't bore you with the difference because the effect is the same.
