BACKGROUND Launched in 1987, Fairfield by Marriott is positioned as an “upper midscale” select service brand. It is Marriott’s second-largest brand with around 1,290 hotels (largely centred in the US) and 450+ properties in the pipeline. The brand made its European debut in March 2024, with the launch of Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn. The hotel is part of a dual-branded development, with longstay Residence Inn under the same roof.
