One sneeze from death

Popping the lid off a sports drink, I mixed in cold and flu powder and took a sip. ‘You can still do this,’ I said to myself.

It was September 2014 and as a keen fell runner, I was taking on a 22-mile Man vs Mountain race.

The track would take me climbing from sea level to the peak of Mount Snowdon.
