For a game with almost weapons-grade levels of coziness–you are, after all, sewing fluffy patchwork quilts for napping cats–Calico is remarkably challenging. In its original board game version, it was a minor hit thanks to strong table appeal, adorable theme, and clever puzzle-solving, but it’s far more difficult than the art and theme might suggest.
