SCHUMACHER FAMILY WINS LEGAL BATTLE

German publication sued

THE family of F1 legend Michael Schumacher have won a legal battle against German publication Die Aktuelle after it printed an AI-generated interview with Schumi and promoted it on its cover in April 2023 with the headline: “Michael Schumacher, the first interview!”

The publication stated that the interview “sounds deceptively real”, attributing supposed quotes to Michael that were actually generated by artificial intelligence.
