PORSCHE 968 CS
The 968 was made from 1991 to 1995 and was Porsche’s last front-engined vehicle before the Cayenne SUV in 2003. Based on the Porsche 924/944 platform, the 968 was offered in coupe and convertible body styles. The pick of the litter is the lightweight Club Sport (CS), powered by a 3-litre, 240hp, four-cylinder motor, tied to a six-speed gearbox. Aimed at enthusiasts, most of its luxury features were removed. Sound deadening was minimal and it had windup windows. Unlike 911s, prices have dropped over the years but are creeping up again. Well worth looking at, for a genuine Porsche with racing heritage.
