VIDEO MASTERCLASS Mika Tyyskä: Rodeo Road

This month’s video feature came about after a recent shred licks lesson on Mika Tyyskä (see GT355) which was in turn inspired by several reader requests for a feature or two on the Finland-based rock virtuoso. Mika is probably best known for his work as the cartoon character Mr Fastfinger, from the Guitar Shred Show website. He is also a composer and has recorded many instrumental albums. After a few email discussions with Mika, Jason recorded the triplet-based boogie track Rodeo Road. Two weeks later, Mika submitted a stunning video featuring his solo, an in-depth discussion on his creative approach and insights into his guitar setup and tones.
