Johann Sebastian Bach is a towering figure in the world of classical composition. Such was his legacy that the entire Baroque era came to be defined by the years of his birth and death (1685-1750). That’s not to say there were no other notable composers of the Baroque style during those years, as there were of course many others that are almost as well known.
